MINI of Charleston Racing Team has released their 2011 Schedule

Charleston, SC – The MINI of Charleston Racing Team has released their 2011 Schedule. After missing the 2010 SCCA National Series due to team manager/driver Brad Davis’ knee replacement and 2nd team driver Robbie Davis’ changing job responsibilities, the team is excited to announce they will again be actively competing in the Sports Car Club of America’s National Racing Series, competing for a Southeast Division invitation to the SCCA’s National Championship Runoffs in September at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. Both Robbie and Brad have won SEDiv Championships (Brad in 2006 in Showroom Stock C and Robbie in 2008 in Showroom Stock B) and both hope to add a second Divisional Championship to their resume. Robbie will again be driving the 2005 of Charleston/Mini Mania MINI Cooper S, competing in the Showroom Stock B class. Brad will be driving a 2002 of Charleston/Mini Mania MINI Cooper in the H Production Class. This class allows many modifications not allowed in Showroom Stock and will be a proving grounds for performance parts supplied by two major sponsors, MINI USA and Mini Mania. “After 25 years of racing cars that were basically straight off the showroom floor, the change to a car with virtually everything adjustable will test the old adage about old dogs and new tricks. But the team and I are really excited about the chance to race a car that we have built from the ground up, around the reliable and dependable R50 MINI chassis and drive train.” commented driver Brad Davis.
